Photoshop Studio Notes for Artists and Photographers
If you work with scanned images and/or digital photographs, these free Studio Notes can show you how to harness the tools and techniques of the graphic design industry for personal creative development and exploration. Many artists use photographs for visual reference to develop ideas for finished works. Using Adobe Photoshop to enhance, combine and otherwise manipulate those images allows for unprecedented real-time creative feedback and exploration of ideas not possible with any other creative tool. Just click on the thumbnail or title to download to your desktop.
Resources Page 2 provides additional Studio Notes where you can learn ways to use these “new media” techniques to inform your “old media” brushes and paint techniques. You will be able to create and manipulate images and type to produce personal artwork and/or higher quality references within Photoshop to output to paper or canvas. There is also an additional listing of some of my favorite artists, suppliers, forums and other art-related websites that are worth visiting.
